Terms and Conditions

 


  1. Once a design layout has been agreed upon, Skinny Nib requires the design fee as a deposit to confirm an order, and will not proceed with any final proofs before receiving this deposit.  However, if an order is urgently required, Skinny Nib may choose, at its discretion, to waive these requirements in order not to delay the final printing of the cards.  

  1. Once a design has been decided upon and the deposit has been paid we can agree a timetable and I can start the work. 

  1. Skinny Nib  must have received the balance of payment (the printing fee which incorporates printing, material, postage and packaging costs) before cards will be despatched to the client.  

  1. Skinny Nib has no obligation to provide any design work unless any payment has been received. 

  1. Skinny Nib accepts payment by Bank Transfer and by cheque in UK Pounds (GBP).  

  1. Printing prices are subject to change without prior notice.  Any price increase will not affect confirmed orders that have been secured with deposits. 

  1. Any initial quotes given are subject to change.  An accurate and final quote will be given once the final design layout has been agreed upon. 

  1. Quotations are only valid for 2 months.  

  1. Final proof reading is the responsibility of the client.  

  1. Skinny Nib cannot be held responsible for gaining copyright permission for the use of hymns, poems, readings or other material used in your wedding stationery. This is solely the client's responsibility. Please ensure that you have permission to use the material and in particular you indemnify 'Skinny Nib against any action brought against it for breach of a third party's copyright.  

  1.  Proofs of your order will be emailed to you for your approval in "jpeg" or "pdf" format for initial design.  On completing the final design layout, a hard copy print out will be sent to the client for them to sign off.  These printed copies will be sent by First Class UK mail.  Any further changes will be in jpeg form of photographs of amended printouts unless a change in physical material is requested (i.e. different shade of card). 

  1. Once confirmation to proceed with printing has been received it will take 5-14 working days for the stationery to reach the client.  The customer will be advised of the despatch date and an address will be required. 

  1. All stationery is printed either by Skinny Nib or by a trusted Printing company in the UK.  

  1. Whilst Skinny Nib will do everything it can to ensure the prompt arrival of your cards, it cannot be held liable for any delays in the postal service.  

  1. When your stationery arrives, please make sure they are unpacked and inspected BEFORE signing the delivery note. In the unlikely event of damage occurring during transit, please refuse delivery of the goods, mark the delivery note accordingly, and notify us immediately.  A new product will be sent out.  We strongly recommend that you examine the stationery at the time of delivery - we have your satisfaction in mind.  Naturally we cannot accept liability for damages or errors if goods have been used or if you have had the stationery in your possession for more than 7 days. Delivered goods are your responsibility, if you delay accepting the delivery we will not be held responsible for any financial implications. 

  1. Should the client require extra invitations after receiving there order, extra postage costs will be required on top of the printing fee. 

  1. Customer's personal details will only be used for Skinny Nib's  internal accounting and marketing purposes and will not be given or sold to any third parties.  

  1. Skinny Nib reserves the right to use photographs of all our designs within company media website/brochures etc.  

  2. The original illustration design are framed for the customer after completion of final work.  These are usually black and white line drawings and may appear different to the digitalised print outs.  They are mounted in white frames and sent via 1st class Royal Mail Post.
